Dit is de derde editie van de prijs, die in het leven is geroepen door Cross Comix en Stripdagen Haarlem voor de beste in eigen beheer uitgegeven productie. De uitreiking vindt dit jaar plaats op 31 mei tijdens de opening van Stripdagen Haarlem.

Abel Dijkstra (Amsterdam, Netherlands,1998) is a visual storyteller and funny. He makes comics and self-publishes a magazine called Lovely. It’s the most contemporary comics magazine and it’s cool and free (not free of charge but free in spirit).

Abel sees comics as truly a magical way to freeze time and put feelings and invisible things into a reading experience. He’s not bound to a single style but you cannot escape his presence in all his work. You can feel and see and smell that it’s Abel Dijkstra, or Abel or Abelknabel as he sometimes likes to call himself. He currently lives and works in Zwolle: the soon to be capital of Dutch comics.

Dirk Verschure is an animator and comic artist from the Netherlands living in Berlin. He is co-editor of KUTLUL megazine and a co-organizer of Bilderberg underground comics festival.

Ellis Tolsma is an illustrator and motion designer from Utrecht, The Netherlands. She creates colorful, playful and graphic illustrations with a fun risoprint effect. She also runs Studio Misprint, a small risograph studio in Utrecht.

Fynn van der Ziel (1996) is an artist with a strong affinity for absurdism. Using various media, including plasticine and risography, he creates an unsettling world in which he feels at home.

In 2021, he successfully graduated from Academie Minerva in Groningen, with a film about the earthquake issues in the region. In spring 2022, he realized the mural of Jacobus Cornelius Kapteyn on Oude Kijk in ’t Jatstraat. The following winter, he collaborated with the band Roosbeef on a video for the song “Zomer in Nederland.”
With VIS he won the Small Press Award in 2024.

Guus Møystad (1992) is kunstenaar, schrijver en storyteller. Hij is een chaotische mengelmoes van identiteiten en gevoelens, die door zijn kindertijd in Beiroet, internationale school in Oslo, wortels in Maastricht en familie in Brussel, nooit helemaal tot rust zijn gekomen.
Guus Møystad (1992) is kunstenaar, schrijver en storyteller. Hij is een chaotische mengelmoes van identiteiten en gevoelens, die door zijn kindertijd in Beiroet, internationale school in Oslo, wortels in Maastricht en familie in Brussel, nooit helemaal tot rust zijn gekomen.
Deze mengelmoes drukt hij in het mooiste mengelmoes-medium aller tijden uit: strips. Hij is geïnteresseerd in en geïnspireerd door politiek, geschiedenis, fantasie, utopie, lichamen en identiteit.
Jeroen Funke is a comic artist and small press self publisher. He showers the world like a hurricane with his happy art in all kinds of shapes and forms. His house is bursting at the seams with all the different machines, tools and stacks of paper. With his books, zines, stickers, cards, pins, posters and shirts he hopes to bring a smile to your face.

Larie Cook – pen name of Arie Plas – is a Dutch cartoonist, painter and designer, working in the Amsterdam region. Active in the Dutch small press scene, his self-published mini-comics and other artistic exploits are characterized by their absurdism, strange animal creatures and pop culture references.

Marieke Luthart (1996) is an illustrator and painter currently living and working in Amsterdam, NL. Her work is very diverse and includes linocuts, pen drawings and acrylic paintings. Through her work, she aims to provide insight into the worlds of others in order to develop greater understanding of each other. As an illustrator, she’s eager to contribute to a more inclusive society. She works for various clients and is always looking for a genuine connection.
