Cross Comix exists thanks to all the cartoonists, designers and makers who visit the festival. Do you want to sell your work at the Makers Market? Do you have a magazine, zine or other publication for our Zine Kiosk? Do you want to present your new book? Or do you want to get professional feedback and a portfolio review at Meet the Editor?
This year, the festival will take place on September 12 & 13 at De Doelen in Rotterdam. The market and kiosk will be open on both days. Participating at any of these open calls is free of charge! Spots are limited, read the rules in each application form.
The Small Press Award celebrates self-published and often beautifully designed publications in a limited edition, in which the creator can express their own unique signature. The winner of the Small Press Award will receive a check worth €1,500. This open call is closed, the deadline was June 5, 2025.
The Makers Market offers you, as an individual artist or a collective, the opportunity to sell your small press publications, zines, prints, gadgets and so on. It is up to you what to bring, as long as the main focus is comics (in any form/genre). Deadline: July 28th 2025.
The Kiosk is our shop and platform to showcase and sell the freshest, most amazing and innovative creations by independent publishers and artists from all over the world. Deadline: July 24, 2025
At one of our book presentations you can showcase your book on stage and have a signing session afterwards in the free part of the festival, in the foyer of De Doelen. Deadline: July 28, 2025
At Meet the Editor you can expect insightful feedback and advice on your portfolio from professional publishers and editors.
