Esther Samuels-Davis

Esther Samuels-Davis is an illustrator/ author who has been living in Berlin since 2013. Esther has written and illustrated two books published by Taotime Books: Togetherverse, a picture book translated into German and Greek, and Tumbo in the Shadows, an illustrated novella. Esther has also illustrated two picturebooks in the Venus Underwater series in collaboration with author Julia Hengst. Under the pseudonym Dirty Like the Weeds, Esther self-publishes many of her own projects and zines, and was one of the creators/organizers of the Hungry Eyes Zinefest in Berlin from 2019-2022. Her illustrations have been featured in the Berliner Zeitung, on the podcast Love and Radio, and in exhibitions across Berlin, Brussels, and the United States.
