Madelief van der Peijl (2000) is an illustrator from the Netherlands. She finds inspiration by being outside, close to nature, observing and watching. The things she comes across there are the starting point for her drawings.
Nature serves as the base of her illustrations, while she explores themes like curiosity for the things happening around you and finding beauty in the mundane. She works mostly with analogue materials like gouache, pen and graphite pencil.
Her work is playful and layered, while remaining open to interpretation.
