Artists from two generations working together on a project – that also means an exchange of knowledge and experience. Floor de Goede and Hanco Kolk have known each other well since the start of Flo’s career (13.00-13.30). Guido van Driel and Julia Roeselers are collaborating on sets for a documentary in which puppets play a part (13.30-14.00).
The two pairs will give presentations on working together and learning to understand one another.

Julia Roeselers
Julia Roeselers is a self-taught documentary-maker and visual artist rolled into one. She particularly enjoys making documentaries about controversial social issues and strives to adopt a multidisciplinary approach when portraying them. For example, she made a film in collaboration with the Dutch poet laureate Babs Gons, in which her beautiful spoken word accompanied the film.
She has also previously worked with animation in documentaries and is currently working on a film in which puppetry will feature. For this project, she is directing the documentary, making the clay puppets herself and collaborating with cartoonist and filmmaker Guido van Driel on the set design. In addition, she creates comic-style illustrations: both personal work and posters and flyers for accessible, cultural and community-based initiatives.
