Step into the world of the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision during Cross Comix! Together with graphic designer and visual artist Iris van Velzen, you’ll dive into Sound & Vision’s rich media archive and create your very own mini-zine.
Theme: Female artists. Be inspired by unique archival material and combine it with your own creativity to tell a personal visual story. It’s up to you—experiment with images, typography, color, and shape. You’ll take your zine home with you, and your work will also be combined with that of other participants into a special zine. This zine will be shared through Sound & Vision’s channels and showcased at the event REMIX 2025 on October 3 in Hilversum.

Iris van Velzen, known as Droom.iris, is a freelance graphic designer, visual artist, and full-time letter lover based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She specializes in creating visual identities and all kinds of printed matter, such as books and publications. Her artistic practice explores bold typography, vibrant shapes, and printing techniques like Riso printing and screen printing.
