Clairikine was born and raised in France on a US passport and has been reflecting ever since on where home is and what feelings mean. Self-published works include Master of Survival, an autobio comic about moving to Berlin in 2010 as a grad student, and nearly 15 years’ worth of short comics about what happens after you decide to stay. When not working on comics, there’s a strong chance you’ll find them wandering somewhere in the woods, listening to music, a podcast, and/or hastily writing down new project notes. Other sources of inspiration include good television, good company, long train rides, and the smell of petrichor.

Manuel Hernández Ruiz is a Colombian visual artist whose work ranges from painting, drawing, sculpture and installations, to books, publications, prints and graphic art in general. His work focuses on questions about identity, arcane and contemporary symbolism, Latin Americanness in the midst of globalization, storytelling, and existential absurdity. He holds a Bachelor from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. Between 2023 and 2025 he made the official image of the Latin American music festival Cordillera. He has shown his work in art fairs and exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Greece, Colombia, South Africa, France, among others. Since 2019, Manuel has resided in Athens. As a child, Sebastian was surrounded by 2 great-grandmothers, 2 grandfathers, 3 grandmothers and countless uncles and aunts from his Javanese-Surinamese side of the family. By bringing together different materials and media, Sebastian interweaves pieces of dislocated history, characterized by an imbalance of power. The camera functions as an exploration tool, looking for the nostalgic feelings like Gotong Royong.
Collaboration is key in his practice, When he takes photographs, he tries to make the people in the photos as much a part of his research as possible. Together with his brother Tyler, he researches his family history, which he has also been presenting on stage in the form of theater since 2025.
His photographic work has been exhibited at various festivals and museums, including the Fotomuseum Den Haag, Stedelijk Museum, BredaPhoto Festival, and Recontres Photographiques de Guyane.
In May 2026, he visited Java for the first time—the place from which his great-grandparents departed as contract workers in 1928 and 1929. There, he met Inprogress Initiatives in Yogyakarta, with whom he co-produced the zine Atas Tanah.

While her digital illustrations begin with clean lines, Ronyut-Henry deliberately utilises tactile mediums to introduce an organic, human touch to her art. Her work encompasses multi-layered Risograph printing, embracing the process’s characteristic textures and subtle misalignments, as well as three-dimensional mediums, including one-of-a-kind hand-built ceramic magnets and clay characters. Yvan Guillo, aka Yvang is a French cartoonist born in 1971. He started publishing comics in numerous fanzines in the early nineties and thus far accepts invitations to take part in micro published collective projects. His photocopied fanzine “Crachoir” (1992-2010), featuring his own comics and graphic explorations plus works from his friends was his main space of expression before his late acquisition of an Apple Macintosh PC and his adoption of the Internet around the year 2000.
The web became his favourite way of publication and experimentation for his comics, made available for anyone as soon as finished. During this period he perfected his practice of the photo edition software Adobe Photoshop for colorization in a way that would become very useful years later. At the time the increase in speed of the access to the Internet resulted in more and more availability of some good quality scans of old American comics from the golden age previously not easily available in Europe.
In a more classical vein, pursued in parallel with his experimental work, he published some children comic books, some auto-published and some at the now defunct éditions “Le Moule à Gaufres”, and worked as a freelance graphic designer. Around 2009, he started a shared Tumblr blog (with his friend French cartoonist Léo Quievreux), “zdnd”, la zone de non-droit (the no-go zone) in order to post experiments, side projects and often unfinished works.
The digital collages of golden age american comics labelled “Samplerman” started there, and the warm feedback from many followers, and continuous commissions for illustrations, Sleeves for LP Record etc. from many countries gave it a boost to go on. The Tumblr blog Samplerman took over in 2015, followed by his Instagram account. Samplerman was awarded the Prix de l’EESI in january 2019 during the Angoulème festival. He’s currently working on several forthcoming exhibitions, books and mini comics. He lives and works in Brittany, France.
